HET® exists to make the world a better team, so that together, we can all make the world a better place.
We believe that skilled, happy and healthy people produce better results, that passion-driven organizations succeed when we bring our whole selves to work, and that peak team experiences improve our lives and our ability to change the world.
Gali has been developing the HET system and serving clients since 2002, when she founded the management consulting practice of Highly Effective Teams®. She relies on the HET team management system to deliver results on client engagements while maintaining health and happiness for her clients and her team.
Ever since her days as a Sociology major in college, Gali has been fascinated by people in groups. She is most alive when deep in conversation with friends, colleagues, and virtual strangers, about life, feelings, issues at work, and how they might be related to childhood experiences. As an Enneagram Type 2, she is working on remembering that not everyone likes to talk like this.
Prior to founding Highly Effective Teams, Gali was a consultant with McKinsey and Company. She has an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business with a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and a BA in Sociology from Rice University.
Sally joined the team in 2010 and supports the delivery of training events with precision and excellence so that attendees have memorable learning experiences and new insights into how they want to work. She has turned the process of pulling off even multiple training events in different cities on the same days into a well-oiled machine so that we don’t step on each other’s toes and nothing slips between the cracks. She is consistently cool-headed, providing a calming and soothing presence on the team.
Sally is also a consultant with Highly Effective Teams, where she specializes in project management, Enneagram coaching, market research, and analysis.
Previously, she was a senior market research analyst at Mattel, Princess Cruises, and Schlage Lock Company. She has an MBA from the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in International Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a BA in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Terra Lenihan joined the team in 2013 and leads communications with our community, providing members with the latest news on curriculum, products, events, and stories so that HET stays alive for people even after training events and coaching engagements end. She is enthusiastic, relentlessly positive, and always eager to chip in to help out the team or a community member in any way she can. She personified the HET spirit.
Terra is also a consultant with Highly Effective Teams, where she specializes in project management, Enneagram coaching, and communications services, including marketing, technical writing and editing, proposals, writing for a web-based audience, and social media.
Previously, she worked in marketing and PR in green community architecture and owned and operated an indoor soccer business and communications agency. She has a BS in Environmental Writing and a Denver Community Leadership Forum Certificate from the Graduate School of Public Affairs, University of Colorado at Denver.
Deborah joined the team in 2008 and builds systems and tools that help our community members apply the HET principles to their work. Deborah loves to learn and is always willing to try to build a new tool to help our community. She is curious and skeptical with inviolable integrity and quality standards.
Deborah is also a consultant with Highly Effective Teams, Inc., where she specializes in data dashboards, surveys, research, analysis, database management, custom application development, and geographic information systems (GIS).
Previously, she was a scientist with Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she worked on environmental catalysis for the automotive industry and conducted research for an industrial wastewater treatment company. She has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Whitney joined the team in 2007 and trains and coaches hundreds of people each year in the HET system. She tells it like it is but with a smile and a laugh and constant assurance that things can and will be better. Her clients say things like “You have indeed found your calling in this world. Your understanding, passion, and teaching abilities for HET are just so inspiring,” and “It was so invigorating to connect with someone super-charged about high performance and how to achieve it.”
Whitney is also a consultant with Highly Effective Teams, where she specializes in strategic planning, project management, business process improvements and system implementations.
Previously, she worked in oil and gas environmental consulting and corporate strategy in the storage hardware industry. She has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
